Gadget-Bot is a production company found in 2011 by writer/director/designer Robert Simons and Peggy Chung. Its foundation is on the belief that quality and attention to detail stands above all else. Its vision is that story is the nucleus in which every other piece of the production enhances and revolves around.
Gadget-Bot Productions thrives on creating immersive stories and expansive worlds in the many forms of art. Through the hunger to tell stories from the concept designs, Gadget-Bot has co-created MOMENTUM. The film follows a struggling father attempting to forge a career in high performance hover-car racing while trying to salvage his family life. The heritage of Gadget-Bot stems deeply from concept design for film, commercials and games. Clients have included Sony Animation, Universal Studios, Prologue, Mirada, Rhythm and Hues, Red 5, Gearbox and Activision’s Treyarch. Several works for films include concept design for Guillermo Del Toro’s Pacific Rim, Gavin Hood’s Ender’s Game, Marc Webb’s Spiderman 2 and most recently Colin Trevorrow’s Jurassic World and Josh Trank’s Fantastic 4.
In publication, Gadget-Bot has contributed to several of Scott Robertson's Design Studio Press books. A handful of paperbacks include: Nuthin’ But Mech and Nuthin’ But Mech 2 and Scott Robertson’s educational books: How to Render: the fundamentals of light, shadow and reflectivity.
